Where it all began…

I wrote a book for the first time at 30.

Prior to a year ago, I’d never written anything fiction. So, what happened?

The answer is, I had a weird dream. I had a dream that was so vivid and was so twisty that I couldn’t get it out of my head. For weeks I thought about it and what I’d dreamt changed and morphed into something that was more tangible. Eventually, I told my best friend. She immediately was like “you need to write that!” So I did. Will you ever see that particular book? Probably not. Who knows. It’s a mess. Maybe one day I’ll get the motivation to edit it but not right now.

Six months later, I had another idea which turned into what will be my first novel. It wasn’t actually a new idea. I’d had a spark of something when I was watching a TV show in high school, and over the years it’s snowballed into something else entirely. But it never left my head, and now it’s a full blown manuscript that I’m pretty proud of. I’d love to tell you when more about it, but for now just know it’s coming. If you want to stay in the loop, this is where you’ll do it.

Thanks for being here.
